Standing on the cusp of 2010, Facing the...
Just a few of this year’s highlights…
A 2 a.m. phone call with Twiney and finally figuring out why we have been and are best friends.
Exploring parts of Seoul, Korea by myself.
Getting off the pill.
Getting a real tea set and getting into the habit of drinking loose leaf tea.
Visiting a much-loved friend in Washington, DC and seeing all the museums and monuments there.

Christmas Guilt
Dad: [small, nervous? laugh] We don't have a Christmas tree...
Me: Do you want a Christmas tree?
Dad: No, but shouldn't we?
Me: No.
Dad: We don't even get presents for each other and even if we do, we don't wrap them up.
Me: Dad, that's because we don't observe Christmas.
Dad: Yeah, it'd be sad/funny if we did, huh?
(We're not the slightest bit Christian. What is this fuss? Stop getting sucked into the consumerism of the holiday season, Dad!)

One night, the week before finals..
Sister: Wanna get this pair of shoes for your dear unnie? [insert link]
Me: Sure. I'll order them by this weekend.
Sister: Thanks! Facebook tells me you've been eye-ing a certain sweater... Has anyone put dibs on that yet?
Me: Nope.
Sister: Alright. It's mine. See you in two weeks and good luck with finals!
